Melting Points

What was your favorite thing that we did/saw?
M: Spray painting cars at Cadillac Ranch and the Ice Cave
J: Spray painting cars and Six Flags Great America
R: Touring the campus at the U of I and seeing friends
Me: Visiting my friends in Missouri

Which NPS site did you most like visiting?
R / Me: George Washington Carver National Monument because it highlighted his faith as well as his achievements.
J: Wilson's Creek National Battlefield because there were lots of Pokémon there and the Civil War stuff was cool.
M: Pea Ridge National Military Park because it was an important Civil War battle.

What was the best Pokémon you found?

M: Electabuzz in Williams, AZ
J: Tauros at LAX and Electabuzz in Williams

Which gym did you hold the longest?
Boys: Wilson's Creek for three weeks

Which place was the hottest? Best weather?
M: Needles, CA and El Malpais National Monument
R: Fort Smith, AR and Williams, AZ
Me: Fort Smith, AR and Santa Fe, NM 
J: All of the above and Ice Cave/minivan. There was a cool thunderstorm in Morton, too.

Which hotel was the best?
J: Residence Inn in Santa Fe, because they had a basketball court, snacks in the evening, and a big room
M: Hampton Inn in Fort Smith, because they had a basketball court and pool 
R: Best Western in Williams, because they had a good breakfast
Me: Any hotel that had enough beds to keep everyone happy

What is one thing you learned?
J: I didn't know anything about the Oklahoma City bombing before we visited.
R: I didn't realize how many Native American tribes were relocated to such small pieces of land in Oklahoma. 
M: There were lots of German immigrants who fought for the Union in the Civil War.
Me: Custer was also involved at the Battle of Washita River. The more I learn, the less I think of him.

Boys: Cadillac Ranch
Parents: Santa Fe
