Today's activities consisted of stuffing our faces with more of my mom's cooking followed by food comas.

If you've never had Chinese "bao", they are basically buns or dumplings, made with an exterior dough or wrapper enclosing some kind of filling. They can be steamed, pan fried, baked, etc. This website has a great compendium describing the wide variety of bao.
Breakfast: steamed char siu bao (Chinese barbeque pork) or vegetable bao (spinach, egg, shiitake mushrooms, glass noodle)
Lunch: xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and sticky rice shao mai. Giving Din Tai Fung a run for its money...
Dinner: sheng jian bao (pan fried pork buns)

To be honest, I don't have the patience or fortitude to make any of these bao, especially considering how M and J pop them into their mouths, one right after another, like candy. They're lucky that PoPo loves them more than I do! Haha!
