Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

Since both M and J were working full-time this summer, we thought that we could squeeze in a family vacation in September before J started his fall quarter classes. When given the choice of planning a trip to Maui or Illinois, it was a no-brainer for them...

...they picked visiting their grandparents. (Awww, this mama's heart is full! 😭)

So, we were at LAX early this morning for our 8:15AM flight to ORD. Once we landed in Chicago, after hopping on the tram from Terminal 1 to the Multi-Modal Facility to pick up the rental car (quick and easy!), we grabbed a bite to eat from Steak 'n Shake (happy hour prices on shakes!) and headed over to R's aunties' AirBnB um, place.

The only order of business left for the day was to take R's dad shopping for a mobility scooter. We stopped for Korean fried chicken from K-COOP for dinner in Morton Grove since it was on the way to the medical supply store in Glenview.

Highly recommend Northshore Medical Supplies! They had lots of floor models to try out and even enough room in the store for a test track, which the boys did several laps on. The top speed of a scooter is just under 10 miles per hour, so they were zipping around pretty quick!

Success - found one he likes!
