Generations

Because Main Street Station had removed their tournament slot machines, our usual Saturday morning activity was changed to a family blackjack tournament at the Cal instead.

Since we only had three dealers, the participants were split between two rounds. Everyone received a stack of chips, and each table was dealt a set number of hands. The players with highest chip totals at the end of either round would split the pot of entry fees.

Even though my streak of bad luck continued, I liked the change. This was much more fun than mindlessly pushing a button for 20 minutes!

While waiting for the banquet room to open for the luncheon, Grandpa hit the video poker machines upstairs with M.

As always, the best part of the family reunion is having the ʻohana together in one place.

Selfies with R's cousins

Almost 70 of us in attendance!

The youngest generation

Afterwards, M and J went with the oldest cousins from the next generation to Top Golf.

We spent the early part of the evening hanging out and talking story with some of the cousins in the Triple 7 Brewery inside Main Street Station. I was crying from laughing so hard!

Then we ended the night playing in the casino. No surprise that the blackjack tables still weren't kind to me, but M had a great run at the craps table along with "Uncle" B, cousin D, and her boyfriend. At least someone in our family was able to win some $$$ in Vegas!
